The Conveyancing Association appoints Coadjute as an affiliate member

The Conveyancing Association has announced the appointment of Coadjute as a new Affiliate member.

Coadjute is a blockchain network that enables the existing software used by estate agents, conveyancers, mortgage brokers and lenders to become interoperable, enabling the parties involved in a property transaction to synchronise and share progress updates, property information, digital identities and even payments.

The network has the ambition to create ‘a seamless journey with improved security for all parties, transforming the experience for buyers and sellers, reducing administration costs and cutting the time it takes to move house by up to 50%’.

According to Coadjute, almost 70% of all estate agents are now using a platform that will be connected to Coadjute through a string of major software players joining the network.

Cécile Papin, Coadjute partner lead – Conveyancing, said: “We are extremely proud that Coadjute has been welcomed as an affiliate member of The Conveyancing Association. It’s an exciting prospect to be working closely with the conveyancing industry’s leading trade body, whose members share our commitment to bringing trust to every transaction and making buying and selling property a truly collaborative experience.

“We’re in the midst of rolling out the Coadjute network to estate agents, conveyancers and brokers throughout the UK, enabling them to work together from within their existing systems and we know that affiliate membership of The Conveyancing Association will further accelerate this process, producing tangible benefits across the profession.”

Nicky Heathcote, non-executive chair of The Conveyancing Association, commented: “We are very pleased to welcome Coadjute as our newest Affiliate member and we are looking forward to introducing them to our other member firms and seeing them present and take a full part in our events calendar throughout the year.

“All our affiliate members play a very important role in the Association and offer a great deal of insight and resource particularly in terms of helping us drive our workstreams and objectives. By joining the CA, Coadjute can also increase its profile, while placing itself at the heart of the conveyancing world, meeting and networking with the leading figures in our industry. I have no doubt that Coadjute will add a great deal to the Association in the months and years ahead.”

Coadjute recently announced a £6m investment funding round led by Manchester-based Praetura Ventures.
