Property group’s CEO honoured with an OBE at Windsor Castle

Andy Hill

Andy Hill, the founder and group chief executive of housebuilder The Hill Group, formally received his OBE (Officer of the Order of the British Empire) at an investiture ceremony held at Windsor Castle last week.

Earlier this year, Hill was named in His Majesty King Charles III’s first New Year’s Honours List for services to Affordable Housing.

In that time, under his leadership, Hill has grown to become the UK’s second-largest private developer, with affordable homes representing around half of the Group’s portfolio. The CEO received his insignia at an event held in the Grand Reception Room at Windsor from His Majesty King Charles III on Tuesday.

Hill commented: “It is a great honour to be named in The King’s Honours List and to formally receive this OBE. Throughout my career in housebuilding, providing exceptional homes and sustainable communities for people of all walks of life has been my passion, and so I am very grateful to be recognised for my work in affordable housing, which is such a vital area of the housing sector.

“Although this is a personal accolade, I owe a debt of gratitude to my exceptional team at The Hill Group, our partners and supply chain, and of course my family for their incredible support over many years.”
