Generous agencies boost food banks for Agents Giving Day

The agency sector came out in force last week support their local food banks, with the Relocation Agent Network alone providing more than 6,500 items, Agents Giving says.

Firms across the UK took part in Agents Giving Day on June 18 by donating items to food banks.

Agents collected thousands of essential food items and toiletries in their offices to make up food parcels and make the all-important delivery to the foodbanks.

The Relocation Agent Network launched a social media campaign on Twitter dubbed #OneThousandItemsofFood to encourage their firms to get involved, eventually seeing more than 6,500 items donated from member offices including Dawson’s Property, Pygott & Crone, JW Wood Group, Thomas Morris, Moginie James and Drivers and Norris

Generosity spread to other agents, with contributions from Paramount to its local Brent foodbank, as well as Heritage Estate Agents, Frank Shippers, Sealy Estates, MS Estates, Polecat Properties, Virtually Sold and Howie Kent & Co.

Peter Knight, chairman of Agents Giving, said: “We were thrilled with the number of agents collecting and donating food parcels for this Agents Giving Day, literally thousands of food items were collected and donated.

“Thank you to all agents for their generosity – such an incredible job from all those involved.”

It’s not too late if you would like to collect and donate food items.

The holiday season represents a time of joy and celebration, but it can also be challenging for many people who must choose between paying bills, buying food and making sure their families have warm clothes. This continued support characterizes the holiday spirit here in New Hampshire, while also easing the burden for so many people in need.
