Fresh insight from estate and letting agency CRM Street.co.uk appears to show the data that agents hold is generally very poor, holding as many as 7,000 duplicate records per branch for individuals in their market.

At such a crucial time for agents to be filling their business pipeline, the issue hinders prospecting efforts and gives agents misleading information about their database, it is claimed.

Analysing data produced by Street.co.uk found the issue to be consistent across all agents, suggesting the problem lies in the existing software, not with the individual agents.

Co-founder, Heather Staff, commented: “If agents are mining duplicate records for their next valuation, they are wasting precious time and potentially breaching data compliance regulations. A clean, healthy database is the lifeblood of a successful agency. Data health must be a priority for agents, so they can capitalise on all available opportunities and use their time effectively.”
