Auction packs, HIPs, seller’s packs, all pretty much same thing.
A conveyancer can raise enquiries on an auction pack, if instructed early enough. They may, or may not get a helpful reply, but they can then advise their clients on the pros and cons of proceeding.

Good discussion and as Rob says the answers out there already a variation of auction packs, HIPs, sellers packs and so on. There is tons of technology out there that can be used. The point that technology can solve problems is good, but the issue is the internal willingness of solicitors, estate agents etc to actually change the way they do things. All too often the barrier to improvement is inertia. Makes it easy for each relying party to blame the ‘other’ for delays. Good idea from Government that all homes should have a Property Log Book (PLB).
