Shayne and Jennifer McKinney live in the sleepy town of Van Buren, Arkansas.

It’s a ‘dry’ county, meaning that buying alcohol is highly restricted or outright banned, and life is ‘kinda peaceful’.

The McKinney’s 2,837 sq ft ranch-style house recently came on the market for $225,000 and has already racked up over 200,000 views on Zillow (the U.S. equivalent of a Rightmove).

What could possibly have driven such amazing levels of interest?

Well, the answer is in the cellar…

A hidden door gives access to a spiral staircase that leads into the ‘dungeon’ fitted out as a full nightclub, complete with an entertainer’s pole, and an ‘entertaining’ selection of custom built BDSM (look it up) furniture that Shayne made himself.

He is convinced that there is an under-served demand for properties having space where couples can, in his words, “connect”,  and he and Jennifer have clearly set out to meet it.

Having led a rather sheltered life EYE is somewhat unsure of the purpose of these, ahem, fitments but they have certainly got people interested in buying the place.

The McKinneys, who have been married for 18 years and raised two teenage sons,  refurbished the house for sale and added the dungeon as a spicy marketing ploy to attract buyers

Not everyone is quite so, er, excited, by the publicity – which has seen the listing hit the news headlines in a big way.

Some of their neighbours know about the dungeon, and a few have been invited over, but one local resident on the video expresses her concern at what type of people might be moving in to the property.

We could suggest that to find out she should do a bit of google searching, but her heart might not be up to it.
