Just two weeks after dismissing the latest claims by OnTheMarket (OTM) regarding their website traffic and being the second highest ranked most trafficked portal in the UK (see below), Zoopla is back again providing more evidence that it says cements its position as the number two property website in the UK.
Zoopla has shared the findings of a survey it commissioned that it says shines a light on the ranking of property portals in the eyes of British consumers.
According to Zoopla, the survey, carried out on their behalf by YouGov, features 2,149 nationally representative respondents. It shows that 37% of Brits expect to see their home listed for sale on Zoopla. This compares to 54% for Rightmove and 7% for OnTheMarket.
The idea behind the study and subsequent press release promoting it is to reaffirm that Rightmove and Zoopla are the portals of choice – and not OTM.
Question: Please imagine you were about to put your property up for sale. Which property websites would you expect to see your home advertised on?

Jostling for position: Zoopla customer comms dismisses OnTheMarket claim to be No. 2 portal
Zoopla need to sort their ‘ what’s my home worth ‘ page out. They’ve turned it into a bad lead collection tool.
I use the move market now for a quick valuation check.
Zoopla! Give this data freely. Get people stuck on your page = more users. Also why do u hide the filter for sale agreed??? People need to know who is selling in their area. When doing their research..
