Keller Williams UK chief denies prime central London closure rumour

Keller Williams UK CEO Ben Taylor has denied speculation that KW Prime in central London is set to close when the lease to its existing West End office expires next week.

Comments posted on EYE in recent days have suggested that the operation central London is to shut imminently. But Taylor is quite understandably keen to dismiss the rumour.

He told EYE: “I can confirm that the Prime Market Centre is not closing. The current office lease comes to an end this month.”

According to Taylor, KW Prime is planning to move to a larger office – they are just waiting for the existing tenants to vacate.

He explained “We have identified a new larger office within the same Portman Street premises for which we await the current occupants to leave.

“In the interim agents supported by Prime remain able to use current facilities and Prime Market Centre staff have access to a temporary office.”

Can’t they just use the free desks in London Bridge for now?

Maybe it’s to do with the fact that KW Prime’s current offices at 2 Portman Square are managed by Knight Frank and to get out of the lease Ben’s incorporated a new company of 19th June called Prime Agents LTD?
