What’s happening in the UK property market this week?

The UK property market saw UK listings and sales this week return to the levels last in March and early April 2023.

James Forrester, an estate agent from the West Midlands, joins Christopher Watkin to discuss the stats and fact, which look like this:

+ There were 31,740 listings this week (compared to the 2023 YTD average of 31,826 per week)

+ There were 17,476 price changes this week (compared to the 2023 YTD average of 17,634 per week)

+ Some 22,361 gross sales were recorded this week (compared to the 2023 YTD average of 21,693 per week)

+ A total of 4,717 fall throughs were logged this week (compared to the 2023 YTD average of 4,947 per week)

+ In terms of net sales, there were 17,644 this week (compared to the 2023 YTD average of 16,694 per week)

+ The percentage of sales falling through averaged 21.09% this week (compared to the 2023 YTD average of 23.9% per week)

After looking at the national stats, Forrester and Watkin look at the UK regional figures, with a particular focus on the housing market in Reading.
