Expanding regional agency acquires another well-established company

L-R: Ian-Wiggett, Ray Ellis, Sandra Ellis, and Lee Hopkins

Henry Adams Lettings has acquired Interlet Sussex, a well-established agency in the coastal town of Bognor Regis.

Interlet Sussex was founded in 2008 by Ray and Sandra Ellis who are retiring.

All staff at Interlet Sussex are joining the Henry Adams Lettings team who will be relocating to the Interlet premises in Bognor Regis, just round the corner from their existing offices in the High Street.

The newly expanded team will be headed by Lee Hopkins, director, and Jodie Gregory as manager.

Henry Adams Lettings operates a comprehensive range of services for landlords, including full property management handled by their own in-house property managers who will also be based in the new location.

Ian Wiggett, chief executive of Henry Adams, said: “Interlet is a well-respected lettings agency within Bognor Regis so we are delighted to bring them on board with Henry Adams. Ray and Sandra have built an exceptional business where the values align with our own at Henry Adams.

“We’re also very pleased to welcome the Interlet team of Michelle, Aga and Julie and Di to our group and we look forward to a very bright future, continuing to deliver a professional and helpful lettings service to all our landlords and tenants.”

Ray and Sandra Ellis launched Interlet following the sale of their previous business and have since grown it to become one of the largest independent lettings agencies in Bognor Regis.

Sandra Ellis commented: “At this stage in our lives, we have decided the time is right for us to retire and pass the business on so it can move on to the next stage, building on the foundations we have laid. A couple of years ago we became aware that another long-established, local family business (AC Lettings) had joined Henry Adams. Even as competitors we can see what a success this has been and how their clients and staff have been well looked after. We therefore decided to approach Henry Adams.

“We would like to take this opportunity to thank all our landlord clients for their business and continued support over the years, as well as our band of tradespeople who will continue to work with Henry Adams. It is greatly appreciated and we have every confidence that the combined teams, with an unrivalled depth of experience, will continue to go from strength to strength without compromising on the quality of service.”

Interlet marks the third acquisition by Henry Adams in the past two years as the company expands its lettings portfolio and market reach along the south coast.
